From 21st October, 2013 The Malton in association with NCPS, (Nationwide Controlled Parking Systems), are introducing Pay & Display parking to ensure all our customers and patrons have priority access to our car parks. The nominal charges are as follows and we wish to assure our customers and patrons that our new policy will ensure better parking facilities at The Malton:
€2 per day
Guest can pre-pay online (click link) via parkbytext™ website and enter guest code 1433 in the location box.
€1 per hour
€5 per day (applies after four hours)
Non residents can pay on-site via Pay and Display Machine or on-site via parkbytext™ instructions

The Malton, proud associate sponsors of Kerry GAA since 2011, are sponsoring the Best Dressed Lady competition for a second year running this Friday, 21st June at the Boylesports.com Kerry GAA Night of Champions which will take place at Tralee Greyhound Stadium.
The lucky lady who is named Best Dressed on the night will walk away with a Luxury VIP Prize courtesy of The Malton which includes a two night stay in the hotel’s Presidential Suite. The winner and friend will enjoy breakfast each morning in the award winning Garden Room Restaurant and a one hour Yon Ka Paris pamper treatment each in The Innisfallen Health & Beauty Rooms. Our winner and guest will enjoy a true Malton food and wine during their stay as evening dining is included each day: Sample some fine wines in our Killarney Wine Rooms with expert advice from Sommelier, Massimo Mirabile, accompanied by some delicious food from Chefs’ Evening Specials. We are delighted to also include dinner in our award winning Garden Room Restaurant, choose from our table d’hote or a la carte menus. The treats do not stop there for our Best Dressed Lady as Norma O’Donoghue, recently voted Irelands most talented stylist, will help the best dressed lady select an outfit from Kerry’s Boutique, Killarney during her stay.
The Boylesports.com Kerry GAA Night of Champions this Friday promises to be a big night for all, as Kerry GAA supporters can mingle with their heroes in the senior football and hurling squads who will be in attendance; while ladies are invited to dress to impress the judging panel consisting, of a secret Kerry GAA Football player judge, and stylist and model agency owner, Norma O’Donoghue.

The Malton last night launched The Killarney Wine Rooms, where guests enjoyed an extensive range of wines from the best regions around the world in a stylish, interactive and relaxed atmosphere
The Wine Rooms house the state-of-the-art self service enomatic wine dispensing system which hosts a dazzling array of both white and red wines from the hotel’s extensive wine list, which can be sampled endlessly without the need to purchase multiple bottles. Killarney Wine Rooms is an interactive experience where you can sample a selection of wines by using a prepaid debit card and simply selecting a wine, with the option of glass, half glass, or tasting glass. As the wine is dispensed the card is debited for the appropriate amount.
Tasting glasses start at €1.20, with half glasses from €3.50 and full glasses from €5.50. Customers at The Killarney Wine Rooms can also choose from over 80 wines from the bottle from the hotel’s extensive wine menu.
Massimo Mirable, The Malton’s Head Sommelier manages The Killarney Wine Rooms and says “Our aim is to make wine tasting a bit more approachable, interactive, and relaxed. We are happy to share our wine knowledge and guide customers through our wine selection. The enomatic system is capable of preserving wine perfectly for up to 21 days and it gives everyone the chance to taste premium wines by the glass – whether they are wine connoisseurs or complete novices to the wonderful world of wines.”
The new offering at The Malton complements the existing dining options and extensive food menus in The Garden Room and The Punchbowl Bar; and customers can also enjoy sharing platters with an array of antipasti, charcuterie and cheese selections from The Killarney Wine Rooms menu.
The Killarney Wine Rooms are open during normal bar trading hours, and serve food 4.30pm-9.30pm Sunday to Thursday, and 2.30pm-10.30pm on Friday and Saturday.

The Malton, Killarney received the accolade of Kerry’s Best Hotel Restaurant at the Munster finals of The Irish Restaurant Awards, in association with The Restaurants Association of Ireland, which were held Cork on April 23rd.
The Awards are the largest and most coveted awards in the Irish Restaurant Industry; and recognise achievement and excellence throughout the 32 counties of Ireland in 21 categories, celebrating all aspects of the industry from Chefs and Restaurants, Cafes and Gastro Pubs, to Food Producers, Local Food Heroes and Cookery Schools.
Dora Browne, Restaurant Manager and Stephen O’Leary, Executive Chef received the award of Kerry’s Best Hotel Restaurant, sponsored by Pallas Foods, on behalf of The Malton. This category recognises hotel restaurants that demonstrate the very best in a dining experience, encompassing all aspects that make a dining experience memorable such as menus, exemplary customer service, atmosphere and attention to detail.
Speaking about The Malton’s win, Dora Browne said
“The Awards nominations were made by readers of the Sunday Independent LIFE Magazine, who sponsor the Awards; as well as members of the Restaurants Association of Ireland, so it really is a great honour to win an award where we have been recognised by our customers and guests.”
The Malton will now go forward for the All-Ireland Awards on Monday 10th June in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin, where they hope to pick up the title of Ireland’s Best Hotel Restaurant.
