Summer is here again and with it comes The Killarney Races! Widely renowed as one of the most scenic racecourses in the world the Killarney racing festival gathers momentum every year! The festival has resided in its current Ross Road location since 1936 and attracts crowds from all over the country and indeed from all corners of the world. It may be the unique setting combined with great racing, great entertainment and wonderful festival atmosphere that makes this festival such a fantastic day out.
The Killarney Race Calendar has been extended again this year with four extra evening meetings from Tuesday 23rd – Friday 26th August, proving that the Killarney Races has grown to be one of the major festivals on the racing calendar.
This August racing festival has something for everyone, from the heavy punters to the casual race goer, families and the fashion conscious. With big screen viewing of all races, childrens entertainment, ladbrokes betting shop and great prizes to be won each day, there is not better place to be to experience the thrills and spills of festival racing at its best.
Wednesday 24th August is Family day with bouncy castle, face painting, clowns, story telling, balloon man and pet farm. Enjoy a Social evening of racing & fashion on Friday 26th August with the Best Dressed Lady Competition judged by Maura Derrane. The Winner will receive a €2000 voucher from Littlewoods Ireland and 10 finalists will receive a €100 shopping voucher for Littlewoods Ireland.
