The Malton Breakfast – Healthy Porridge
Ingredients Makes 2 portions (takes 5 minutes)
1 banana sliced
1tsp rich dark brown sugar
1tsp sunflower and pumpkin seeds
1 pinch salt
Heat water in a saucepan and add salt, stir in oat flakes with a wooden spoon and stir for approximately 3 minutes. Stir in the milk ( this gives a creamy finish to the porridge). Remove from the heat and serve in a bowl topped with the rest of the ingredients. Simply top with Blueberries and sliced Banana and enjoy.
(For a more sinful delight replace the milk with cream and add a small dash of Irish whiskey)….for the days you are not doing a triathlon !
