The Malton, formerly The Great Southern Hotel, has been steeped in history since it was built in 1854 by the Southern Rail Company. Just a short distance from the hotel, you will visit the Copper Mines which date back to 2400 BC.

Two Night's Accommodation, Full Irish Breakfast each morning and Dinner on one evening of your choice in The Garden Room Restaurant. We take food
seriously at The Malton; we even grow our own herbs and vegetables in the gardens of the hotel. Executive Chef John O'Leary uses seasonal herbs and
vegetables in his daily menus. Breakfast at The Malton will set you up for the day ahead; our menu includes a hot breakfast selection served to your
table including the Full Irish and our famous Poached Eggs Malton Style, and a cold buffet selection including cereals, juices,
cheese, cold meat selection, bread and pastry selections.

Dinner in the Garden Room Restaurant with its great gilded dome ceiling is an elegant dining experience. Our Table d'hôte four-course dinner menu
includes choices on each course. Carefully sourced produce from local suppliers and artisan producers, combined with our own home grown ingredients
promises a great south-west dining experience to taste and tantalize your taste buds! Our wine list is extensive, chosen to complement our dinner
menus, while our Sommelier will be only too happy to provide some suggestions.

Included in your package is an historic tour of the hotel, and our guide will then take you to Ross Castle for a walking tour. The
walking tour takes you on a trail of the copper mines and open mine shafts which date back to 2400 BC, and to the fabulous scenic viewing points of
Governor's Rock and Library Point on Ross Island, a world UNESCO site.

Before you depart from the hotel, we invite you to sign our Visitor Book. This will be countersigned by our General Manager, who will then present you with
a certificate to acknowledge your stay at The Malton.
